Black Fox Inspection is a structural inspection and lifting equipment certification firm serving Calgary and area. We run roughly 1,500 certifications a year across mobile cranes, aerial work platforms, telehandlers and industrial lifting gear — inspected on site by CGSB-certified personnel and reviewed and stamped by our in-house P.Eng.
Every inspection is documented against the applicable CSA, ANSI, ASME and Alberta OH&S requirements, and every report is filed to your equipment's digital record so the paperwork is there when you need to produce it.
CORE SERVICES
Annual Equipment Certification
Statutory annual inspections for cranes, lifts and lifting equipment. Full visual and functional inspection, load-rating verification, deficiency reporting, and a stamped certificate on pass. Book it once and we'll flag you before it lapses.
Non-Destructive Testing (NDT)
Structural NDT on booms, welds, hooks, pins and load-bearing members — the checks a visual inspection can't cover. Performed by certified technicians, used to catch fatigue cracking before it becomes a failure.
Engineering Review & Certification
Our staff professional engineer reviews every inspection report and issues the stamped certification. We also handle structural assessments, repair sign-off and weld procedure review under CSA W59 / AWS D1.1.
Digital Asset Management
Every unit you own gets a digital record: inspection history, certificates, deficiencies and next-due dates, accessible on demand. No more hunting through binders when a client or regulator asks.
