About Black Fox Inspection
A structural inspection and lifting equipment certification firm out of Cochrane, Alberta. Small team, ticketed people, engineer on staff.
If It Lifts a Person, or Lifts Something Near One — We Certify It
Black Fox Inspection is a structural inspection and lifting equipment certification firm based in Cochrane, Alberta. We inspect, test and certify the equipment that does the lifting on Alberta job sites: mobile cranes, scissor lifts, man lifts, telehandlers, truck-mounted aerial units and industrial lifting gear.
We're deliberately small. Two CGSB-certified inspectors and one professional engineer, running roughly 1,500 certifications a year. That means the person who inspects your equipment is the person you spoke to on the phone, and the report doesn't sit in a queue waiting for a head office three provinces away to stamp it.
A Certificate Is Only Worth the Inspection Behind It
Annual certification exists for one reason: so nobody gets hurt by a machine that should have been pulled from service. We treat it that way. Every unit is inspected against the applicable CSA, ANSI, ASME and Alberta OH&S requirements — not a checklist someone shortened to save time — and every report is reviewed and stamped by our own P.Eng. before a certificate is issued.
If a unit fails, you get a written scope of exactly what's wrong and what it takes to bring it back into service. No vague "deficiencies noted." You should be able to hand our report to a safety officer, an insurer or a client and have it answer their questions without a phone call.
HOW WE WORK
WE COME TO YOU
Your yard, your shop, your lease site. Moving a telehandler to an inspection facility costs you a day you don't need to lose.
NEXT-DAY SERVICE
Red-tagged equipment isn't earning. We turn inspections around fast because downtime is the real cost, not the inspection fee.
TICKETED, NOT JUST EXPERIENCED
CGSB-certified inspectors and a professional engineer on staff. Inspection and stamped certification under one roof.
DIGITAL RECORDS
Every unit gets a permanent digital file — inspection history, certificates, deficiencies, next-due dates — available when someone asks for it.
